Veronica Tawhai (Ngāti Porou, Ngāti Uepōhatu) is a lecturer of Māori development in policy and politics at the School of Māori Studies, Massey University. She is a recent recipient of the Fulbright Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga scholar award.
Veronica has co-edited two books, authored several papers and presents widely on the issues of the Treaty of Waitangi, Māori and youth political engagement, constitutional change and electoral, civics and citizenship education. Her PhD explores political engagement and education in bi-political states and seeks to construct a framework for citizenship education in Aotearoa.
